Film lecture at the Mogilevvtorchermet Production Unitary Enterprise

On April 15, 2025, in anticipation of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, employees of the Mogilev Region State Archive held a film lecture for employees of the Mogilevvtorchermet Production Unitary Enterprise. The event included a screening of the documentary film «History of the Great Victory», created by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents with the support of the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus.

The film is based on archival documentary materials and is dedicated to the heroic fight against Nazism. The film shows the main stages of the Great Patriotic War: the attack of Nazi Germany, the defense of the Brest Fortress, the Battle of Moscow, Operation Bagration, the «rail war», military operations in East Prussia, the Battle of Berlin. In order to popularize video materials from the archival funds of the institution «Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents», advertising leaflets with a QR code for the archive’s YouTube channel were prepared for the participants of the event. After viewing, the employees of the enterprise were able to get acquainted with the banner exhibition «Again, let’s get closer to the past with a glance», dedicated to the history of Mogilev during the Great Patriotic War and post-war reconstruction.

At the end of the event, the director of the PUP «Mogilevvtorchermet» Vladimir Kovalevsky, on behalf of the team and himself, thanked the archivists for preserving the memory of the events of World War II and popularizing historical facts about this period in the history of Belarus.
