On the visit of the State Archives of the Brest Region by students of the Brest State University named after A.S.Pushkin

As part of the republican campaign «Archives for School» and the project «Young Archivist» on April 2 and 3, 2025, lectures were given and introductory excursions were conducted in the archive building at 15 V.Khoruzhey Street for two groups of 1st-year students of the History Department of the Educational Institution «Brest State University named after A.S.Pushkin».

Head of the Department of Use and Publication of Documents Galina Kalustova told the students about the creation of archival affairs in Belarus, about the history of the State Archives of the Brest Region, the main areas of its activities, about the composition of the archive documents, focusing in more detail on the archival documents of the period of the Great Patriotic War. During the lecture, the film «On the 80th Anniversary of the Liberation of the City of Brest from the Nazi Invaders» prepared by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents was shown.

After the lecture, the students visited the archive storage facility and the laboratory for repair and restoration of archival documents.
