«Archives to School»: on information hours held by employees of the «State Archives of the Mogilev Region» institution at the educational institution «Mogilev State Medical College»

From March 31 to April 4, 2025, as part of the republican campaign «Archives to School», the pilot project «Young Archivist» and on the eve of Victory Day, employees of the department of scientific use of documents and information of the institution «State Archives of the Mogilev Region» held a series of information hours about the Great Patriotic War for 7 groups of students of the educational institution «Mogilev State Medical College».

The children were presented with a banner exhibition «Again, let’s look closer to the past», dedicated to the events of the Great Patriotic War and post-war reconstruction in the city of Mogilev.

The archive employees also introduced the students to the features of the work of archivists, the specifics of the documents stored in the archive.

During the information hours, the documentary films Operation Bagration and Partisan Republic prepared by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents (Dzerzhinsk) were shown.

The archival documents, as well as film and photo documents, aroused keen interest among the students and allowed them to expand their knowledge of the history of the city and the region.
