Joint project of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus and the Minsk Regional Clinical Hospital for the Disabled of the Great Patriotic War
On April 4, 2025, the primary organizations of the Belarusian Women’s Union of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus (hereinafter referred to as NARB) and the state healthcare institution Minsk Regional Clinical Hospital for the Disabled of the Great Patriotic War named after P.M.Masherov organized and conducted a joint project dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory.
As part of this event, NARB donated unique copies of archival documents to the hospital, revealing the history of the hospital’s creation, its functioning during the difficult years of the country’s post-war reconstruction, the fight of medical personnel against dysentery and typhus, and the work of the hospital in a later period. Also, copies of archival documents about their glorious grandfather were given to the relatives of P.A.Rybchak, who fought in a partisan detachment during the Great Patriotic War and worked in the hospital after the war.
The staff of the clinical hospital organized an excursion to the institution’s history museum. Later, the archival documents of the NARB will be added to the funds of the hospital’s museum exhibition.
The goal of this project is to remind the younger generation of the price of the Great Victory and the feat of medical workers during the Great Patriotic War.
