The chronicle documentary film «Liberation», prepared by BGAKFFD, was presented to the participants of the round table «Regional History Movement in the Polotsk Region: Experience, Achievements and Heritage»

100 years ago, the Polotsk Regional History Society began its work, the activities of which contributed to the mass study of local history. The result of its work was the opening of the Local History Museum, which today operates as a branch of the National Polotsk Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve. On March 13, 2024, in Polotsk, at a meeting of the round table «Local history movement in the Polotsk region: experience, commitment and memory», dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Polotsk Local History Society, local history enthusiasts gathered – scientists, museum and archival workers, librarians, teachers of universities, schools and colleges from the cities of Minsk, Polotsk, Vitebsk, Novopolotsk, Miory. And as listeners there were students of Polotsk colleges and schools, students of Polotsk State University.

Employees of the State Archives of the Vitebsk Region announced information about the republican actions «Open Film Archive. We brought this day closer as best we could», «Archives to school» and presented a newsreel documentary film prepared by BGAKFFD, «Liberation», dedicated to the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders.
