On the organization by the institution «Zonal State Archive in Orsha» of the exhibition «My Plant – My Pride!», dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the founding of the Orsha Machine-Tool Plant «Krasny Borets»
On March 3, 2025, the institution «Zonal State Archive in Orsha» prepared an exhibition of archival documents «My Plant – My Pride!», dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the founding of the Orsha Machine-Tool Plant «Krasny Borets».
The history of the plant has many glorious traditions, which are the result of the selfless work of all generations of workers. The beginning of the historical chronicle of the plant was laid in 1900, when on the bank of the Orshitsa, on the territory now occupied by the plant, the Orsha townspeople S.P.Yasinsky and I.B.Slavinsky built and opened iron foundries for the production of barrels, tanks, machines and equipment for mills and distilleries, agricultural equipment. Today, the machines of «Krasny Borets» operate in more than 115 countries of the world and export continues to be the most important priority of the Orsha machine tool builders; there are no analogues of «Krasny Borets» either in Belarus or in Russia.
The exhibition presents archival documents reflecting the history of the plant’s creation, stages of restoration and production growth in the post-war period: decisions, orders, staffing schedules, indicators of the enterprise’s production activities, statistical information, reports, reports, certificates, documents on awards and participation in international exhibitions, photographs, etc.
The exhibition is addressed to a wide range of people: schoolchildren, students, local historians, teachers and anyone interested in the history of the Orsha region.
