The State Archives of Minsk Region hosted the opening of a historical and documentary exhibition dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory

On February 28, 2025, the State Archives of Minsk Region hosted the grand opening of the historical and documentary exhibition «The Great Victory. Without the Right to Be Forgotten». The exhibition was prepared by archivists of the Department for the Use and Publication of Documents for the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet People in the Great Patriotic War. The event was attended by students of Minsk Secondary School No.110 named after I.N.Zubachev.

The exhibition presents archival documents and materials about the liberation of European cities by the Red Army, about the victorious May of 1945, the return home of Soviet troops, etc. Separately presented are documents about one of the most famous symbols of the capital – the Victory Monument on Victory Square.

Then a sightseeing tour was held for the students, during which the children visited the archive storage facility of the state archive, where they learned about the conditions for storing documents and their systematization. The children also got acquainted with archival documents testifying to the genocide of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War.
