Participation of the institution «Zonal State Archive in Lida» in the patriotic cultural and educational project «Let’s Preserve the Light of the Victory Feat Forever!»

On 22.02.2025, the Lida Historical and Art Museum hosted the opening of the exhibition «The Memory of the War is Alive Forever», organized jointly with the zonal state archive in Lida as part of the patriotic cultural and educational project «Let’s Preserve the Light of the Victory Feat Forever!» This project is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War. The exhibition was conceived by the organizers with the aim of preserving true historical memory, activating the search and research activities of students and young people, fostering a sense of respect for the exploits of veterans, participants, and home front workers of the Great Patriotic War, developing a sense of citizenship and patriotism, and stimulating interest in studying the military and post-war history of the Lida region.

As part of the joint work on the exhibition, the zonal state archive in Lida prepared a banner with digital copies of archival documents revealing the contribution of the Baranov family (father – Pavel Lukyanovich, three brothers – Leonid, Vladimir and Georgy) to the victory over fascism, well-known in Lida region, and also provided the originals of personal documents of Georgy Pavlovich Baranov.

The opening of the exhibition was attended by representatives of the clergy, residents of the Lida district who assisted in organizing the exhibition, employees of the Lida Historical and Art Museum and the zonal state archive in Lida, students of the Lida College of Music and schoolchildren of the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No.10».
