On the participation of the Deputy Director of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus in the International Scientific and Practical Conference «Genocide of the Soviet People: Historical and Legal Assessment» in Grodno

On February 18 and 19, 2025, the International Scientific and Practical Conference «Genocide of the Soviet People: Historical and Legal Assessment» was held at the Yanka Kupala State University of GrodNo.The forum was organized by the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Belarus, the State Institution «Scientific and Practical Center for Strengthening Law and Order of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Belarus», the Prosecutor’s Office of the Grodno Region and the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno.

The following addressed the conference participants with welcoming speeches: Rector of the Yanka Kupala University of Grodno, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor I.F.Kiturko; Prosecutor General of the Republic of Belarus, Doctor of Legal Sciences A.I.Shved; Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus D.Yu.Gora.

Deputy Director of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus, PhD in History S.V.Kulinok made a report on «Nazi punitive operations in Belarus: development of terminology, legal framework for organizing and conducting operations, new research results», during which he spoke about the work being carried out in the archive to study this topic and about the publication of documentary publications on the history of punitive operations.
