On holding a thematic lesson «Afghanistan in the destinies of our fellow countrymen» with students of the State Educational Institution «Skrygalovskaya Secondary School of the Mozyr District»

As part of the republican campaign «Archives – to School» on February 17, 2025, a thematic lesson «Afghanistan in the destinies of our fellow countrymen» was organized for students of grades 6, 10 of the State Educational Institution «Skrygalovskaya Secondary School of the Mozyr District».

During the lesson, the children got acquainted with the events of the Afghan war, the exploits and heroism of Soviet soldiers. Archivist Suponenko Yu.M. acquainted students with the memoirs and personal documents of participants in military operations in Afghanistan, which are stored in the institution «Zonal State Archive in Mozyr».

The students were also shown a virtual exhibition «Afghanistan: No Right to Be Forgotten», prepared by the staff of the archival institution as part of the celebration of the 36th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan.
