BGAMLI attended the opening of the exhibition «Russia – Belarus. Intersection of Fates» at the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus

On December 23, 2024, the director of the Belarusian State Archives-Museum of Literature and Art E.A.Makarenko and the head of the department of scientific description of personal documents O.F.Shatalova attended the grand opening of the exhibition project «Russia – Belarus. Intersection of Fates» at the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus (partner of the archive-museum). The opening of the event began with a speech by the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Belarus R.I.Chernetsky, a representative of «Rossotrudnichestvo» and other honored guests.

The exhibition was prepared by the State Russian Museum and the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus. The exhibition presents over 300 works by artists and sculptors from Belarus who received their professional education in educational institutions in Russia: Lev Bakst, Vitold Belynitsky-Birulya, Sergei Zaryanko, Stanislav Zhukovsky, Anatoly Kaplan, Marc Chagall, Alexandra Esther, and others.
