On the participation of the Deputy Director of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus in the school of historical and journalistic skills
On the eve of the 25th anniversary of the Union State of Russia and Belarus, the international school of historical and journalistic skills «From a common past to a holistic history» opened in Minsk, supported by the Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of the CIS Member States.
The purpose of the event, organized by the Historical Memory Foundation and the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, is to improve the skills of young historians and publicists, and to hold a competition of youth popular science historical works. Professional historians and students from Belarus, Russia, Armenia and Kazakhstan are taking part in the event.
The Deputy Director of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus (hereinafter referred to as NARB), PhD in History S.V.Kulinok addressed the forum participants. He presented a report on the topic «Archives as a tool for preserving historical memory», in which he spoke about the main areas of NARB’s work in this area (the «Archives for School» campaign, publishing and exhibition activities).
In conclusion of his speech, S.V.Kulinok answered questions from the participants.
