Master class for postgraduates of the UO «Brest State University named after A.S. Pushkin» in the State Archives of the Brest Region

As part of the republican campaign «Archives for School» and the pilot project «Young Archivist», on November 29, 2024, in the reading room of the archive on Engelsa St.,8, a master class was held for postgraduates of the history department of Brest State University named after A.S.Pushkin «Work in the archive: heuristics, tactics and strategy».

Leading archivist of the department of use and publication of documents V.O.Krishchenko told the postgraduates about the composition of the archive documents, about the organizational and methodological aspects of searching for the necessary information in archival documents, about the composition of the scientific reference apparatus for documents, which facilitates search work, about the procedure for independent work in the reading room of the archive, the preparation of the necessary documentation.

During the story about the archive documents from the period of the Great Patriotic War, the graduate students were shown the film «On the 80th Anniversary of the Liberation of the City of Brest from the Nazi Invaders», prepared by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents.
