Implementation of the republican action «Archives-school» in BStAMLA

On November 14, 2024, as part of the republican campaign «Archives – School», the Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art (hereinafter – BStAMLA) conducted an excursion through the archive and a workshop on the topic «Source heuristics» within the framework of the academic discipline «Source Studies» for 2nd year students of the specialty «Museum Business and protection of Historical- Cultural Heritage» of the Belarusian State University of Culture and Art.

The acquaintance with BStAMLA began with a tour of the archive-museum and continued with an inspection of the composition of the documents of the funds under the supervision of the leading archivist of the Department of information, publication and use of documents Natalia Alexandrovna Mizon. Future museologists got acquainted with the peculiarities of acquiring funds of personal origin in BStAMLA. In the reading room of the archive museum, the students were presented with the exhibition «Alone with Eternity …» dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the Belarusian writer V.V.Bykov.

The tourists expressed their conviction in the importance of preserving the heritage of Belarusian culture and gratitude to the scientific staff of BStAMLA.
