About conducting a sightseeing tour for 4th grade students State Educational Institution «Secondary school No. 40 of Mogilev» in the institution «State Archive of Public Associations of the Mogilev region»

As part of the republican campaign «Archives-school», on November 12, 2024, on the basis of the institution «State Archive of Public Associations of the Mogilev region», an excursion was held for students of the 4th grade of the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No. 40 of Mogilev».
Employees of the department for the use of documents Shevchik T.V. and Bryuzgina S.N. told the history of the archive and archival business, familiarized the children with thematic exhibitions prepared based on documents and archive materials: «Defense of Mogilev», «Partisan memory», «Genocide of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War», «80th anniversary of the liberation of the city of Mogilev».

The students watched documentaries: «Liberation of the city of Mogilev», «Reunification».

During the sightseeing tour, the students visited the archive, during which the head of the Department for the preservation of documents and funds, S.V. Bartsuleva, familiarized them with the activities of the archive for the preservation of documents, the composition of stored documents, and their storage regime. At the end of the tour, the children were pleased to master a short course of typing on a mechanical typewriter.
