About the presentation of books in the institution «State Archive of Public Associations of the Mogilev region»

On November 11, 2024, the director of the archive, Elena Anatolyevna Nabokova, presented the book «Liberation of the city of Mogilev on June 28, 1944. From the memoirs …» to the chairman of the Mogilev historical and Patriotic search club «VIKKRU», a member of the Union of Writers of Belarus Nikolai Sergeevich Borisenko, and he, in turn, donated to the archive library the popular science publication «Freedom came from the East. Liberation: from Khotimsk to Mogilev and Bobruisk (September 1943 – June 1944)», which describes in detail the liberation of all district centers of the Mogilev region by Red Army units and partisans, starting from the end of September 1943 and ending with the complete expulsion of the German occupiers from the territory of Mogilev region on June 30, 1944.

Numerous archival documents, rare photographs and memoirs of liberation participants are widely used in the publication, especially about the heavy battles on the Prona River in the Dribinsky, Chaussky, Slavgorodsky (Propoysky) districts in the autumn of 1943, as well as in the Mogilev and Bobruisk offensive operations in June 1944.
