«The State Archives of the Gomel Region» congratulates the Museum of the Gomel Palace and Park Ensemble on its 105th anniversary

On November 1, 2024, the Director of the institution «State Archives of the Gomel Region» A.N. Sushchevich and the head of the department of information, publication and use of archive documents Z.A. Alexandrovich took part in a ceremonial event dedicated to the 105th anniversary of the Museum of the Gomel Palace and Park Ensemble. The Director of the archive A.N. Sushchevich sincerely congratulated the General Director of the palace and park ensemble Irina Vasilyevna Pyrkova on the anniversary date and presented her with gratitude for many years of fruitful cooperation. At the same time, he noted that back in 1923, a provincial archival repository was organized in 3 rooms of the former palace of Prince Paskevich, which marked the beginning of the history of the creation of the «State Archives of the Gomel Region».

The event featured an exhibition entitled «105 years of preserving the best,» which tells about many years of work on collecting, researching and preserving artifacts.
