Virtual exhibition dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Union of Writers of the BSSR «People’s Poets of Belarus»

The Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art presents a virtual exhibition dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Union of Writers of the BSSR «People’s Poets of Belarus».

The Union of Writers of the BSSR (hereinafter SP BSSR) was created according to the resolution of the Central Committee of the CPSU(b) dated April 23, 1932 and the Central Committee of the CP(b)B dated July 27, 1932. The organizational design of the SP BSSR was carried out by the First All-Belarusian Congress of Writers (Minsk, 8– June 14, 1934). From August 1934 to December 1954, it was called the Union of Soviet Writers of the BSSR. The chairmen of the board were M.M.Klimkovich (1934–1938), M.Ts.Lynkov (1938–1948), P.U.Brovka (1948–1966), M.Tank (1966–1990).
