On the ceremonial meeting of the staff of the Belarusian State Archive of Scientific and Technical Documentation
On the eve of the celebration of Archivist’s Day, on October 4, 2024, a ceremonial meeting of the staff was held at the Belarusian State Archive of Scientific and Technical Documentation (hereinafter referred to as BGANTD).
Every year on October 6, Belarus celebrates a professional holiday – Archivist’s Day, established by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus dated March 26, 1998 No.157 «On state holidays, holidays and memorable dates in the Republic of Belarus». Archives play a key role in preserving historical memory, maintaining the legal system and developing science. Documents stored in archives strengthen cultural identity, confirm the social rights of citizens and serve as an indispensable source for researchers. Archivist’s Day emphasizes the importance of the work of archivists, whose activities ensure continuity and access to the national heritage.
At the meeting, the Director of the Belarusian State Archives of Scientific and Technical Documentation (BSASTD) A.P.Kurakov made a congratulatory speech, noting the significant contribution of the employees to the development of the archival industry. Then, the ceremonial presentation of awards to the archive employees took place:

Also, all employees of the archive were presented with a collection «Architecture for the Sake of Life», prepared on the basis of documents of personal origin of Belarusian architects, which are stored in the archive and are an integral part of the National Archival Fund of the Republic of Belarus.
