Screening of the documentary film «Reunification» and a tour for students of the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No.17 of Mogilev» at the institution «State Archives of the Mogilev Region»

On September 17, 2024, as part of the celebration of the Day of National Unity and the «Archives for School» campaign, students from three classes of the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No.17 of Mogilev» visited the institution «State Archives of the Mogilev Region» with a tour.

In the reading room, the children were shown the documentary film «Reunification», prepared by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents. The film is based on a newsreel from 1939 and is dedicated to the unification of the Belarusian lands.

Then the children visited the archive storage and the document digitization laboratory, where they could see with their own eyes how documents are stored and what archivists do to organize the digitization process.
