Exhibition of documents at the National Historical Archives of Belarus, dedicated to the Day of Knowledge

On September 2, 2024, the National Historical Archives of Belarus opened an exhibition «Educational process in educational institutions of Minsk in the early 20th century», dedicated to the beginning of the new academic year.

Head of the Department of Research and Publication Activities of the National Historical Archives of Belarus Sergei Ryndin spoke at a general meeting of the staff about archival documents reflecting the school life of the Minsk male and female gymnasiums – some of the largest and best secondary educational institutions in the territory of the Belarusian provinces of the Russian Empire. The exhibition presents photographs of students, a school diary, a class register and other documents about school life in the past. The exhibition aroused great interest among the audience.
