About the event as part of the «Archives for School» campaign

On July 26, 2024, as part of the «Archives for School» campaign, the children of the «Fakel» labor and recreation camp and the «Dream» round-the-clock camp, operating on the basis of the state educational institution «Slobodskaya Secondary School of the Mozyr District», were presented with a presentation of their hometown – «Mozyr – a city on seven hills», prepared by the employees of the state archive as part of the «Cities of Belarus» project. The children were very enthusiastic about learning the history of their hometown, getting acquainted with architectural monuments, sights, and outstanding people of the Mozyr region.

The children were also given the opportunity to take a virtual tour of the thematic exhibition «Natives of the Mozyr Region – Heroes of the Soviet Union», dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Republic of Belarus from the Nazi invaders.
