Open Day at the Zonal State Archives in Rechitsa
On June 7, 2024, in honor of the International Day of Archives, an open day was held at the Zonal State Archive in Rechitsa. Citizens and representatives of legal entities turned to the archive for the necessary information from archival documents and consultations.
In addition, as part of the «Archives to School» campaign, a tour of the archive was held for students of the «Trudovichok» camp of secondary school No.10 in Rechitsa. Schoolchildren got in touch with history by personally familiarizing themselves with archive documents. A master class on archiving files was held, in which the young guests tried their hand. The children were presented with publications from the scientific and reference library of the archive and a permanent exhibition. The documentary film «Liberation» was shown, thanks to which students learned about how the liberation of Belarus and, in particular, the native Gomel region from the Nazi invaders took place.
