Meeting with the public of employees of the State Archive of the Brest Region

On June 4, 2024, on the eve of the International Day of Archives and as part of events dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the formation of the Brest region, at the Brest Regional Library named after. M.Gorky held a meeting between archive staff and the public.

The event was attended by representatives of the main department of justice of the Brest Regional Executive Committee, the Zonal State Archive in Kobrin, employees of the regional library, museum institutions, teachers and students of the Faculty of History of the Brest State University. A.S.Pushkina and others.

The meeting took place in the form of a dialogue, during which Anna Karapuzova, director of the state archive of the Brest region, head. Department for the use and publication of documents Galina Kalustova, leading archivist Veronika Krischenko answered questions from those present about the history of the archive, areas of activity, composition of documents, the specifics of the archivist’s work, etc.

At the end of the meeting, the head of the Department of General History of the Faculty of History of Brest State University spoke with words of gratitude to the archive. A.S.Pushkina Elena Pashkovich.

An exhibition «The State Archive of the Brest Region in Printed Editions» was prepared for this event, which presented collections of documents, guidebooks prepared by the archive, interarchival publications, as well as articles from periodicals for different years about the activities of the archive, etc.
A banner exhibition “Brest Region: Pages of History” was also on display for the meeting participants.
