The State Archive of Public Associations of the Gomel Region has prepared an exhibition of archival documents «Man is Glorious through Labor»

The institution «State Archive of Public Associations of the Gomel Region» began exhibiting an exhibition of archival documents «Man is Glorious through Labor», which is dedicated to the Year of Quality.

The exhibition is based on documents and photographs identified in the state archives, telling about outstanding workers of the city of Gomel and the Gomel region who were awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor.

Among the documents presented at the exhibition is a photograph, description and autobiography of Evdokia Artyomovna Kukhareva, to whom this highest degree of distinction was awarded one of the first in the territory of the modern Gomel region by the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated March 10, 1948 for obtaining high rye yields.

The exhibition is on display in the hall of the main education department of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee.
