On the holding by employees of the institution «Zonal State Archive in Orsha», within the framework of the pilot project «Young Archivist», a master class on the restoration and repair of documents

On May 23, 2024, as part of the pilot project «Young Archivist» with students of the 8th «A» class of the state educational institution «Secondary School No.8 in Orsha», the leading archivist of the department for ensuring the preservation of documents of the State Archive in Orsha N.V.Gerasyuto a master class on document restoration and repair was held.

The children consolidated their acquired skills in document restoration and repair in practice, visited one of the archives, became familiar with the conditions for storing archival documents, and the peculiarities of storing archival files. We received answers to questions about the archivist profession.
