Conducting a film lecture by employees of the NIA Belarus
On May 3, 2024, the National Historical Archive of Belarus held a film lecture for students of secondary school No.27 in Minsk as part of the «Open Film Archive» project. We brought this day closer as best we could».
The event is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders during the Great Patriotic War.
Deputy Director of the National Research Agency of Belarus Natalia Buloichik presented to the audience the documentary film «Liberation» prepared by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo and Sound Documents, which restores the chronology of the liberation of the territory of our country.
The film covers events from November 26, 1943, when Red Army units entered the city of Gomel. The final frames are dedicated to the liberation of Brest on July 28, 1944, which marked the complete expulsion of the enemy from Belarusian soil.
