On conducting a sightseeing tour at the institution «State Archive of Public Associations of the Mogilev Region»

On April 4, 2024, as part of the republican action «Archives to School», employees of the institution «State Archive of Public Associations of the Mogilev Region» conducted an excursion for 7th grade students of secondary school No.20.

Documentary exhibitions were prepared for the guests of the archive: «Defense of the city of Mogilev», «Partisan memory», «Genocide of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War on the territory of the Mogilev region», «80th anniversary of the liberation of the city of Mogilev», and also schoolchildren were introduced to thematic exhibition «Back to the USSR», dedicated to the Year of Quality.

As part of this excursion, Tatyana Shevchik and Svetlana Bryuzgina introduced visitors to the archive documents presented at the exhibitions and talked about the formation of the partisan movement in the Klichevsky district of the Mogilev region, in particular about the activities of the 14th Temnolesskaya partisan brigade, about the atrocities committed by the Nazi invaders during the Great Patriotic War on the territory of the Mogilev region. Documentaries were watched: «Defense of the City of Mogilev», «Memorial of Partisan Glory «Usakino». Obelisks of a great feat», «Open Film Archive. We brought this day closer as best we could».

Also, as part of this event, visitors were given a sightseeing tour of the archive storage facility, during which Svetlana Bartsuleva introduced the composition of the stored documents and their storage regime. During the excursion, guests got acquainted with the exhibition on the history of the party archive and took memorable photographs.
