Opening of a joint exhibition of the State Archive of the Minsk Region and the Leningrad Regional State Archive in Vyborg

On April 2, 2024, on the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia, the opening of a Russian-Belarusian exhibition of archival documents dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Leningrad and Minsk regions from the Nazi invaders took place in the Leningrad Regional State Archive in Vyborg (Russian Federation).

The Day of Unity of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia is an important date in the life of both states, reflecting the brotherhood of peoples, good neighborliness and mutual understanding. Over the centuries, the friendship of the Belarusian and Russian peoples has stood the test of time. The proof of this was the Great Victory – one of the events in the history of Belarus and Russia.

The historical and documentary exhibition was prepared as part of activities to implement the Agreement between the Government of the Leningrad Region (Russian Federation) and the Minsk Regional Executive Committee (Republic of Belarus) on cooperation in the trade, economic, scientific, technical and socio-cultural spheres for 2023-2024.

The exhibition presents documents from the Leningrad Regional State Archives in Vyborg and the State Archives of the Minsk Region on the liberation of regions and the restoration of peaceful life.
