On March 22, 2024, the Belarusian State Archive of Scientific and Technical Documentation hosted an event dedicated to the 81st anniversary of the tragedy in the village of Khatyn
The tragedy in the village of Khatyn remains one of the darkest events of the Great Patriotic War. This is a place where innocent lives were destroyed and the world was shocked by unspeakable cruelty.
On the site of the village, as a symbol of memory and sorrow, the Khatyn Memorial Complex was created in 1969. This monument has become a historical and cultural heritage not only of Belarus, but of the whole world.
The Belarusian State Archive of Scientific and Technical Documentation stores design documentation dedicated to the construction of the Khatyn Memorial Complex. At the event, the archivist of the department of information and use of documents A.S.Karaseva made a presentation, in which she spoke in detail about the stages of creation and the structure of the complex.
