The pilot project «Young Archivist» continues at the State Archive in Glubokoe

On February 24, 2024, the pilot project «Young Archivist» continued at the State Archive in Glubokoye. This lesson covered two topics: «Work on digitizing documents and inventories» and «Heraldry of the native land».

Anna Tsygankova, head of the document preservation department, spoke about the need to carry out work on digitizing archival documents and inventories. She showed the kids in practice how business is digitized. Then the students were given the opportunity to use the scanning equipment themselves, applying the acquired knowledge.

The head of the department for the use and publication of documents, Tatyana Avlasova, told members of the community about the coats of arms of regional centers that are included in the area served by the State Archive in the city of Glubokoe, and the history of their origin. Students were able to see the documents of the regional executive and administrative bodies, which approved the heraldic symbols of the regional centers – Braslav, Glubokoe, Dokshitsy, Miory, Postavy, Sharkovshchina.
