On holding a thematic excursion for students at the National Historical Archive of Belarus in Grodno «Famous Defenders of the Fatherland in Archival Documents» as part of the republican action «Archives for School»

On February 21, 2024, on the eve of the Day of Defenders of the Fatherland and the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, as part of the republican action «Archives to School» in the National Historical Archives of Belarus in Grodno for 8th grade students of the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No. 28 named after. V.D. Sokolovsky in Grodno» a thematic excursion «Famous defenders of the Fatherland in archival documents» was held.

Students were told about the military events of that time: the preparation of the warring parties for war, military operations and participants in the Patriotic War of 1812: S.N.Lanskoy, D.V.Davydov. and others. Photocopies of documents, plans and places of battles on the territory of the Grodno province were presented to their attention. Students were given a tour of the archive. The children enjoyed visiting the archives and the special document processing laboratory.
