Conducting an educational event by the National Historical Archive of Belarus for students of the Minsk State College of Digital Technologies

As part of the signed cooperation agreement between the NIA of Belarus and the educational institution «Minsk State College of Digital Technologies», an educational event was held for college students on February 19, 2024.

Leading researcher of the department of research and publication activities Aksana Zenko gave a lesson for college students on the topic «Excursion and tourism activities in educational institutions of Belarusian provinces in the late 19th – early 20th centuries».

A. Zenko familiarized students with documents from various public and private educational institutions, which are located in the funds of the National Historical Archives of Belarus, and contain materials related to the organization of excursions and tourist trips for students and teachers. These are circulars of the trustee of the Vilna educational district, minutes of meetings of pedagogical councils and parent committees, orders and orders of heads of educational institutions on the organization of excursions, pilgrimages, sports and military excursions, correspondence with other authorities on the reception and accommodation of excursions, lists of excursion participants, financing issues, reports about conducted excursions, etc. They provide an opportunity to consider in sufficient detail the mechanism for preparing and implementing educational excursions and tourist trips, learn about their cost, the social and gender composition of participants, their age, and identify the most popular and in-demand travel destinations.

NIA Belarus expresses gratitude to the students and teaching staff of the Minsk State College of Digital Technologies (and personally to the director Georgy Vladimirovich Kozel) for the warm welcome and the great interest shown in the documents of the National Historical Archive of Belarus.
