Holding a joint meeting of labor collectives of the National Historical Archive of Belarus and the Belarusian Research Institute of Documentation and Archival Affairs

On February 15, 2024, a joint meeting of the labor collectives of the National Historical Archive of Belarus and the Belarusian Scientific Research Institute of Documentation and Archival Affairs was held in the conference hall of the NIA of Belarus, dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of Internationalist Soldiers and the Unified Day of Public Awareness for February 2024.

During the first part of the meeting, the director of the NIA of Belarus Mikhail Glushakov told those present about military-political events and military operations in Afghanistan in 1979–1989. and losses of the parties in this military conflict. The meeting was addressed by the director of BelNIIDAD, candidate of historical sciences Andrei Rybakov, who in 1987–1988. served as part of the Limited contingent of Soviet troops in Afghanistan.

During the second part of the meeting, the topic «Elections of Deputies 2024: arguments and facts» was considered within the framework of the Unified Information Days for the 1st quarter of 2024. Deputy Director of the NIA of Belarus Natalia Buloichik spoke with material prepared on the basis of information from the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Belarus, materials from the BelTA agency and the newspaper SB. Belarus today». In her speech, N. Buloichik spoke about how voting will be organized at polling stations and at the place of residence of voters, and highlighted the features of this year’s election campaign.
