About the visit to the State Archive of the Brest Region by students of the Brest State College of Communications

On February 7, 2024, as part of the «Archives for School» campaign, the State Archive of the Brest Region was visited by students of the educational institution «Brest State College of Communications», studying in the specialty «Documentation support of management».

Head of the Department of Use and Publication of Documents Kalustova G.D. told students about the history and activities of the archive, about the most interesting archival documents, including the history of the Great Patriotic War.

The students were especially interested in the question of completing the archive with documents. Head of the Department of Records Management and Formation of the National Archival Fund Kozlova S.N. spoke in detail about the formation of documents in organizations – sources of acquisition and the procedure for transferring them for permanent storage in the archive.

During the introductory tour of the archive, students also visited the archive storage, laboratory for the repair and restoration of archival documents.
