On December 12, 2023, as part of the «Archives to School» campaign, excursions for students of the Belarusian National Technological University were held in the Belarusian State Archive of Scientific and Technical Documentation
December 12, 2023 in honor of the celebration of the 104th anniversary of the formation of the Belarusian National Technological University and within the framework of the republican action «Archives-to-school», Belarusian State Archive of Scientific and Technical Documentation together with Ph.D., Associate Professor of the Department of History of BNTU L.I.Moseychuk conducted two excursions for university students.
During the excursion, students visited the storage facility, where the head of the department for ensuring the safety and recording of documents, M.A.Mikhailova spoke about the design, engineering, technological, research, patent and management documentation of the archive. The tourists got an idea of the specifics of the archive of scientific and technical documentation and its functions.
In the department of information and use of documents, students learned about the rules of operation of the reading room and became acquainted with design and construction documentation. For the attention of the tourists, documents from fund No.10 were presented: the architectural project «National Library of Belarus» and «Polytechnic Institute named after. Stalin» in Minsk (now the main building of the Belarusian National Technical University) and photographs illustrating the history of the construction of the street. Nemiga in Minsk.
Of particular interest to the students were the stationary exhibitions of the archive – «Life embodied in architecture» (dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the Honored Architect of the BSSR E.K.Dyatlov), «BGANTD – a repository of the history of Belarusian architecture» (dedicated to the 55th anniversary of the Belarusian State Archive scientific and technical documentation), «Belarusian architecture in faces» (dedicated to three Belarusian architects – A.B.Markaryan, Yu.V.Shpit, I.I.Bovt).
