Working meeting between Deputy State Secretary of the Union State E.L. Bogdan and Director of the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus O.L.Voinov

As part of the implementation of the decisions made at the first meeting of the Republican Organizing Committee for the preparation and holding of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Republic of Belarus from the Nazi invaders and the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War, a working meeting was held on November 11, 2023 at the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus meeting of the Deputy State Secretary of the Union State E.L.Bogdan and the Director of the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus O.L.Voinov. The main topic of the meeting was the discussion of publishing projects for 2024-2025, the implementation of which is possible with the support of the Union State Library.

Director of the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus O.L.Voinov noted the importance of publishing activities in the work of the archival institutions of the republic, and also spoke about the participation of the archival industry in the upcoming events in 2024 dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from Nazi Germany invaders.

Director of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus A.K.Demyanuk noted the increasing role of archives in scientific and educational work in our state.

The head of the publications department of the National Archive of the Republic of Belarus, S.V.Kulinok, reported on the latest publishing projects of the archive, emphasizing the systematic and multi-directional nature of the publication work.

In turn, E.L.Bogdan spoke about the great work that is being carried out under the auspices of the Union State to support various publishing projects.

During the meeting, a discussion took place on the publication, under the auspices of the Union State, of an illustrated documentary publication «Partisans in Operation Bagration» in 2024 (to mark the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus)», as well as the preparation in 2025 of an illustrated documentary publication «Nazi punitive operations in the Belarusian Russian borderlands 1942-1944». Specific deadlines for the preparation of publishing projects and the structure of collections have been outlined.

Director of the Department for Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus O.L.Voinov presented E.L.Bogdan the popular scientific publication «Archives. Nothing but the truth». In turn, Deputy State Secretary of the Union State E.L.Bogdan presented the meeting participants with books published with funding from the Union State.
