Round table «Together we preserve history» in the zonal state archive in Kobrin

On November 3, 2023, as part of the 60th anniversary of the state archive, a round table was held with citizens who are the sources of the state archive’s acquisition of documents of personal origin, entitled «Together we preserve history».

Present at this event were: Maria Nikolaevna Klochkovich – Honorary Citizen of the Kobrin District, Vera Vasilievna Zharin – poetess of the Kobrin region, Liliya Aleksandrovna Strochuk – teacher, public figure.

A tour of the archive was conducted, including a visit to the archives. The guests got acquainted with the conditions and specifics of storing their documents.

The round table took place in the reading room of the state archive, was accompanied by speeches by archivists who told interesting facts from the biographies of those invited, and the latter, in turn, shared their memories of their accumulated life experience, actively answered questions, and participated in discussions. In addition, they discussed the problems of completing the state archive with documents of personal origin, and outlined plans for further joint cooperation.

As part of the round table, a poster exhibition of documents «Their names glorify the Kobrin region» was prepared and presented.

At the end of the meeting, the guests were presented with sweet gifts and invitations to a gala event dedicated to the anniversary of the state archive.
