On the participation of employees of the institution “State Archive of Public Associations of the Gomel Region” in the ceremonial presentation of the book “Essays on the history of the prosecutor’s office of the Gomel region”

On October 31, 2023, employees of the institution “State Archive of Public Associations of the Gomel Region” took part in the ceremonial presentation of the book “Essays on the history of the prosecutor’s office of the Gomel region” published under the general editorship of the regional prosecutor Viktor Nikolaevich Morozova.

The publication is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the formation of the prosecutor’s office of Belarus. Its first part contains historical essays and memoirs of employees and veterans of the prosecutor’s office of the Gomel region. The second part is devoted to publications on the progress of the investigation into the criminal case of the genocide of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War and the post-war period.

Speaking to the participants, Viktor Nikolayevich expressed gratitude for the help in publishing the book to the state archive of public associations of the Gomel region and noted that a creative team of authors worked scrupulously on the creation of the book, archival documents were studied, and the memories of veterans of the prosecutor’s office were recorded.

Employees of the state archive prepared a selection of documents about the activities of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Gomel Region, identified in the archive funds for the pre-war period, and handed them over to Viktor Nikolaevich for further use in publications.

The presentation of the book aroused great interest. Everyone agreed that the book was interesting and educational for readers. The publication was released in a limited edition and will be available in regional libraries.
