Lesson and excursion within the framework of the pilot project “Young Archivist” at the institution “State Archives of the Mogilev Region”

As part of the “Archives for School” campaign and the “Young Archivist” project, on October 26, 2023, students from the educational institution “Mogilev State College of Arts” with a degree in “Library Science” visited the archive. In the reading room, the head of the department for the scientific use of documents and information Olga Trotskaya and archivist of the 1st qualification category Alexey Shvyrev introduced students to the history of the archive, the composition of archival funds, and the specifics of the work of the institution’s employees. We also conducted a lesson on the topic “Personal fund of D.I. Korotchenko”, using archival documents.

Then the children were given a sightseeing tour of the archive, during which they visited the archive storage and the document digitization laboratory.
