Conducting an excursion to the National Historical Archives of Belarus in Grodno for 7th grade students of gymnasium No.2 in Grodno
On October 26, 2023, in the Year of Peace and Creation and as part of the republican action «Archives to School», a sightseeing tour was held at the National Historical Archive of Belarus in Grodno for 7th grade students of gymnasium No.2 in Grodno.
Schoolchildren were told about the history of the creation of the archive, the composition of documents, and the rules for working with documents in the reading room of the archive.
The students visited the exhibition hall, where they were introduced to the created poster exhibitions, as well as the archives, where they were told about the document storage regime.
The earliest book editions were available for viewing in the scientific reference library.
In the laboratory for special processing of archival documents, the children were very interested in the process of restoration of original archival documents.
