The State Archive of the Vitebsk Region organized a festive event dedicated to important dates – Mother’s Day and Father’s Day.

Mother’s Day is celebrated on October 14, Father’s Day on October 21. The period of time between these dates was called the Republican Week of Parental Love. It is dedicated to all of us and our parents, their support and the love they put into raising their children.

Employees of the State Archive of the Vitebsk Region, with the assistance of the trade union committee, organized an event as part of the Week of Parental Love, where they talked about the place parents occupy in our lives and how important it is not to forget and support them. Deputy Chairman of the Trade Union Committee – host of the event S.M.Stadolnik. reminded that the new holiday Father’s Day was established in our country on October 21 according to Decree No. 198, which was signed on June 9, 2022 by the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.
Congratulations and poems were sung in honor of mothers and fathers. Dmitry Valtbaurd’s heartfelt poem «She Carried the Child on Her Breast» about maternal self-sacrifice did not leave any archivist indifferent.
