“Archive in history, history in the archive”

On October 19, 2023, as part of the “Archives to the School” campaign and the “STEP” project, employees of the institution Zonal State Archive in Zhlobin held a thematic meeting “Archive in history, history in the archive” with 9th grade students State Educational Institution “Secondary School No. 12 of Zhlobin.”

The guys got acquainted with documents from the archives, displaying various pages of the documentary history of the serviced areas.

Archive staff of Eliseev I.N. and Zhuravleva T.V. introduced the children to a collection of documents of personal origin (participants of the Great October Revolution, the Civil and Great Patriotic Wars, the partisan movement, statesmen, national economic and cultural figures).

Without an archival document there is no history. And this is obviously correct. Centuries pass, one generation replaces another, and the memory of what each of them did is preserved in such a unique and invaluable source as archival documents.
