As part of the republican action “Archives to School” on the basis of the institution “State Archives of Public Associations of the Gomel Region” an event was held with students of the “Gomel State University named after Francis Skorina”

On October 19, 2023, as part of the republican action “Archives to School”, employees of the institution“State Archives of Public Associations of the Gomel Region”held an event with 4th year students of the Faculty of Law of the educational institution “Gomel State University named after Francis Skorina”.

During the event, students were invited to an online excursion. With the help of the video presentation “There are central streets…” the children had the opportunity to walk (online) along the central streets of the city of Gomel, which received the names of the inhabitants of our glorious Motherland, whose documents are stored in the state archive.

At the end of the event, students got acquainted with the original personal files of famous residents of the city of Gomel, after whom the streets are named, and during a sightseeing tour of the archive, they learned about the main activities of the archive, the composition and content of its funds, the system created by the scientific reference apparatus, and We also studied the most valuable documents in state custody.
