Presentation of the project “Archives. Nothing but the truth” in the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Belarus

On October 11, 2023, on behalf of the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Belarus S.N. Khomenko, a presentation of the joint publishing project of the Ministry of Justice and BelTA “Archives” was organized for employees of the central office of the Ministry of Economy. Nothing but the truth.”

Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Belarus Yu.A. Chebotar addressed the audience with an introductory speech. He noted a significant interest in the project “Archives. Nothing but the truth” and stressed its importance.

For the participants of the meeting, a banner exhibition “Without a statute of limitations. Belarus” about the crimes of the Nazis and their accomplices against the civilian population of the republic during the war. Also, newsreel footage about the crimes of the occupiers from the funds of the Belarusian State Archive of Film and Photographic Documents was shown to the audience.

Head of the Publications Department of the National Archive of the Republic of Belarus (NARB), Candidate of Historical Sciences S.V. Kulinok delivered a lecture “On the genocide of the population of Belarus during the Great Patriotic War”. In his speech, the speaker revealed the concept of “genocide”, spoke about the main legal documents of Nazi Germany concerning the policy of extermination of civilians, and also dwelled on the main forms and methods of implementing the practice of genocide in the occupied territory of Belarus.

S.V. Kulinok also spoke in detail about the implementation of the joint project of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus and BelTA “Archives. Nothing but the truth.” One of its participants, the correspondent of the newspaper “7 days” Yu. Gavrilenko, also told about the project. In conclusion, the lecturer answered the questions of those present.
