About the lesson of the “Young Archivist” circle

As part of the cooperation agreement between the National Historical Archive of Belarus and the State Educational Institution “Secondary School No. 27” in Minsk, on September 28, 2023, the first lesson of the “Young Archivist” club for high school students took place. There, leading researcher at the Department for the Use of Documents and Information of the National Research Agency of Belarus Vladimir Denisov told students about the history and activities of the archive, introduced them to the basics of working with archival materials, and demonstrated new archival publications.

The club activity aroused great interest among students of Secondary School No. 27 in Minsk. They eagerly asked questions, studied books published by the Scientific Research Agency of Belarus, and a guide to the archive’s holdings attracted their special attention. Vladimir Denisov explained its purpose, how to use the information posted in it to begin searching before directly going to the archive. Club visitors are looking forward to the next lesson, which will take place in mid-October.
