On awarding Mogilev SPTU No. 1 named after K.P. Orlovsky

Kirill Prokofyevich Orlovsky (1895-1968) became famous as a brave soldier, scout, commander of a partisan detachment and chairman of the Rassvet collective farm, Kirovsky district, Mogilev region. The merits of K.P. Orlovsky were highly noted by the government of the USSR, including the highest degree of distinction – the Hero of the Soviet Union (1943) and the Hero of Socialist Labor (1958).

Kirill Prokofievich is also remembered in the Mogilev region. Shortly after his death, April 22, 1975, the executive committee of the Mogilev Regional Council of Workers’ Deputies decided to petition the Council of Ministers of the BSSR “On conferring the Order of the Red Banner of Labor on the name of the Hero of the Soviet Union and Hero of Socialist Labor K.P. Orlovsky rural vocational school No. 1.

One has only to add that the Council of Ministers of the BSSR satisfied this request by its resolution of May 14, 1975 No. 162.
