A visit to the students of the health camp with a day stay «Solnyshko» of the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No. 2 named after V.Yu. Sayapin, Grodno» of the National Historical Archive of Belarus in Grodno
On July 24, 2023 The National Historical Archive of Belarus in Grodno was visited by students of the day-care camp «Solnyshko» of the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No. 2 named after V.Yu.Sayapin, Grodno».
In order to educate and patriotic education of children, to popularize the documents of the archival fund, a lecture was held for students on the history of the archive, its main activities and a sightseeing tour of the archive.
Students got acquainted with some original documents on the history of the Grodno province, visited the scientific reference library, an exhibition hall. In the archives, they learned about the regime and conditions for storing documents, in the laboratory for special processing of archival documents, they observed the process of restoring originals.
The children were impressed by the main activities of the archive and surprised by the painstaking work of the archive staff in the restoration and preservation of documentary materials.
