The Zonal State Archives in Molodechno took part in the events dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus

The Zonal State Archives in Molodechno took part in the events dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus. The employees of the archive laid flowers at the «Common grave of Soviet soldiers, partisans, party and Soviet workers who died during the Great Patriotic War», as well as those who liberated the city of Molodechno and honored their memory with a minute of silence. The mass grave and the tetrahedral monument crowned with a five-pointed star are located in the park on the street. Ya.Drozdovich.

The names of the heroes who fell in battles for the honor, freedom and independence of our Motherland are forever engraved on the marble slabs of the mass grave.

On June 26, 1964, the remains of soldiers and partisans who died in the battles for the liberation of the city were reburied here, and on July 5, 1975, the remains of Soviet activists were reburied in a mass grave.

The remains of Ivan Danilovich Tomilin, the first secretary of the Molodechno district committee of the CPB, who died on the very first day of the capture of the city of Molodechno, lie in a mass grave.

In the Year of Peace and Creation, as well as the 635th anniversary of the city of Molodechno, we express our deep gratitude to all those who, at the cost of their own lives, won the Victory for us, the peaceful sky above our heads.
