On conducting an excursion for employees of the Department of Education, Sports and Tourism of the Dzerzhinsky District Executive Committee, heads of educational institutions of the Dzerzhinsky District

On June 29, as part of the events for the Year of Peace and Creation, the «Archives for School» campaign, an excursion was held for employees of the Department of Education, Sports and Tourism of the Dzerzhinsky District Executive Committee, heads of educational institutions of the Dzerzhinsky District. The guides were the leading archivist of the department of state accounting and scientific reference apparatus O.F.Chernenko. and acting head of the department of state accounting and scientific reference apparatus Romanova M.D.

The participants of the tour clearly got acquainted with the types of media of audiovisual documents at the showcase exhibition located in the foyer of the archive. In the reading room, visitors learned about the history of the development of archives, got acquainted with the automated search system of the archive and albums: about Dzerzhinsk, collections of photo collections by E. Tomashevskaya-Radziwill and A.M. Bogomolov. The guests showed great interest in the technical processes for the restoration of audiovisual documents, their digitization and technical control over their condition.

During the tour, the guests were presented with a unique sound document «Behind the Reverse of the Locomotive» (arch. No. ML01768, 1984). This is a radio story about the first female machinist, Maria Alexandrovna Aristova, who during the Great Patriotic War was drafted into a column of steam locomotives of a special reserve, and after the Victory she became the head of a kindergarten.

A documentary film «Atrocities Committed by the Germans on the Territory of the Byelorussian SSR During the Occupation» (architect No. 35_00901, part 3, 1944) was shown in the cinema hall.

The result of the excursion was the achievement of preliminary agreements on cooperation between the BGAKFFD and educational institutions of the Dzerzhinsky district in the framework of various educational and patriotic projects.
